Rob Read is the Founder and CEO of Bison Fire Protection. He has been in the fire protection industry since 1991, growing from refilling fire extinguishers to owning and expanding Bison Fire Protection. The success Rob has had with Bison Fire Protection comes in many forms — from making the Profit 500 list of Canada’s fastest-growing companies in 2012-2019 to being a finalist of Manitoba’s Most Outstanding Medium Businesses and receiving many manufacturers’ awards for sales and service, to the greatest award of all, repeat and referred business from our customers.

Joe’s brings a strong suite of skills to us as our Controller. His past experience and education has allowed him to streamline many of our processes. 

We are always looking to improve our operations as technology, and the business world continue to evolve at an incredible pace. Joe is instrumental in ensuring we remain at the forefront of the fire protection industry. 

Roman has been with Bison for over 10 years. His technical experience is second to none and has developed a reputation across the country as a person who has the right answers and the expertise to explain how the Siemens products work together. 

His knowledge and dedication to our customers is why he excels. He began his Bison career in service obtaining his PMP, to his dedication is your asset on any fire alarm project no matter how small or large. 

Andrew began his career as a technician in the fire protection industry 5 years ago. Since taking over our fire suppression division he has continually grown and developed his tech’s as the industry experts our customers.

Marcel brings over 35 years of industry experience in fire sprinkler systems. From beginning as a system designer then advancing to project management Marcel knows what it takes to lead teams to success. 
 
Having managed both sprinkler service and sprinkler operations as well as time spent as a sprinkler service sales representative, sprinkler construction sales representative, and project manager his experience is invaluable. 

Darren has been with Bison for nearly 20 years rising from suppression technician to Thompson Branch Manager, and currently overseeing operation in Saskatchewan. 

Having grown deep roots in Northern Manitoba Darren is the go to person fire all types of fire protection. 

Richard O’Hara is our Suppression System Consultant.  He handles both Pre-Engineered and Engineered Fire Suppression opportunities, helping organizations protect their people and achieve compliance.  Richard has worked in the Fire Protection Industry field for over thirty years.  He is dedicated to providing fire suppression solutions to all industries – from small business to large industry such as mining operations.  Fire suppression is not a one size fits all, Richards experience is vital in ensuring that the right type of suppression suits your specific needs.

Igor joined us in the spring 2022 as Inspection & Service Consultant. He had over 10 years of sales experience in Automotive / Aerospace prior to joining Bison Fire Protection. This vast history has not only helped Igor support his team members and provide outstanding customer service, but also helped our team continuously improve. Igor has quickly taken in the Bison Fire way to ensure our customers have an exceptional experience by creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Igor is detail oriented, easing the sales process for our clients and ensuring everything will be looked after from beginning to end. Igor is now ready to take on new challenges and grow his career with us in the fire protection industry and we look forward in building his career as one of our Team.

Cale brings a diverse skillset in management with years of experience in construction, engineering, and corporate environments. He is a dedicated team leader with a focus on the client. Cale is passionate about building people, teams, and client relationships.
